Nkrabea Destiny - Accra Rooftop Jam
We finally brought this song back home to Ghana. Written for a documentary film about a young Ghanaian football player, Nkrabea-Destiny combines personal roots with Amapiano sounds, Afrobeats and Highlife chords. Joy is singing in Twi, Ghana’s most widely spoken language and the native tongue of her father, the lyrics echo a soulful call to fate: “You call me, I follow you, my destiny”

Just started our "Behind the Song" series! We give background information to our tracks, answers to questions like what inspired the lyrics? how did the songwriting process come about? etc.. This happens on Fanklub, a platform similar to Patreon or Substack, but specifically music-related. You can subscribe for free.
